Healthcare is dynamic and complex. Nurses graduating from a master’s degree program must demonstrate competencies that will allow them to respond to current and emerging trends in healthcare. Each week, you will address one or more of the 9 Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing.

As you plan, develop, implement, and evaluate your Public Health practicum project, reflect on how this project and your graduate education have prepared you to meet the growing needs of healthcare and the diverse populations we serve. During Module 6, you will finish up 20 hours of direct care experience. To prepare for these experiences you will need to consult with other professions to foster an inter-professional, collaborative practice. As you plan, develop, implement, and evaluate your practicum project, describe what inter-professional collaboration you connected with and describe how you incorporated that insight into planning your project, and address Essential III: Quality Improvement and Safety and Essential IV: Translating and Integrating Scholarship into Practice.
