Option 2: Healthcare is a shared power between the federal government and individual states. Outline and describe a federal healthcare policy and contrast it with one policy in the healthcare system of the State in which you currently reside. (These can be any policies as long as they are healthcare policies).

Option 2: Many experts see the media as biased and more like infotainment. In fact, many people have turned to social networks as an outlet for news instead of CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN and other news stations. Do you see this as an issue? Do you see the news as biased or unbiased? Should there be more restrictions on the news stations?

How likely is it that these patterns of representation will dramatically change over your lifetime? For this discussion question, you will have to do some research online.

Option 2: In Week 5, you learned how a bill becomes a law. Provide an example of a public health policy. This can come from any area, such as vaccinations, nutrition and food safety, drugs, environmental protection, tobacco use, infectious disease control, or occupational health and safety. Describe the importance of public health policy on the national and state levels.
