 Let’s look towards climate solutions together! Project Drawdown has compiled a comprehensive library of 93 climate solutions that focus on reducing greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere in sectors ranging from Agriculture, Technology, Electricity, and Health and Education, to name a few. In this assignment, you will use the climate solutions library from Project Drawdown to investigate and share with the class the climate solution of your choosing. In addition to the information from Project Drawdown, you will research two other news articles, essays, or peer-reviewed journal articles that are not included in the course syllabus to gather information on your topic. You may also use readings from class to support your research.

 After reading through the list of solutions on https://drawdown.org/, you will use the prepared Climate Solutions Poster spreadsheet found on Moodle to pick a climate solution to research. This assignment will be to create an academic poster showcasing your research and short in-class presentation.

1. Poster

• Create an academic poster that illustrates the main points of your climate solution.

• Explain how your topic contributes, or will eventually contribute, to a more sustainable future.

• Provide appropriate facts, background/context, and related information.

• Digital posters could be made on Power Point, Google Suite, or Canva. Hardcopies can be cardboard, paper, etc. This is NOT a slideshow.

• Include infographics, images, relevant data and statistics to explain and promote your topic.

• Please list your research sources on your poster or on an additional page. Use credible sources and provide citations using a standard APA format.

• Poster should be well organized, visually impactful, and use color and images effectively.

• Use standard English writing and grammar and proofread your work for errors.

B. Presentation

• Share your poster and climate change solution with the class in a brief presentation that is approximately 7-10 minutes.

• A short question and answer period will follow each presentation.

• You may have prepared notes or an outline to help stay organized.

• Tips for successful presentations: speak clearly, make eye contact, smile, engage the audience.
