For this final discussion, the question is very simple. There are a lot of numbers pointing toward climate disaster, and a lot of people who are very gloomy about the prospects for positive change.

Listening to the deniers claim "things are not so bad, carry on!" is not reassuring -- if anything, this kind of attitude increases general anxiety.

In the midst of everything, given what we have talked about and read this term, where do you find hope yourself, and why?

Then, consider you are talking to a ten-year-old, who has started to read about the kind of world in which they will grow up, who is very worried and depressed about what they have learned so far. What would you tell them, to give them hope, as well?
