Repeated Measures ANOVA

Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to apply knowledge of data analysis and interpretation by completing a repeated measures ANOVA analysis on a data set using SPSS. This includes proper result reporting in the form of a paper with output from SPSS and appropriate tables included.

Course Outcomes

This assignment provides documentation of student ability to meet the following course outcomes:

CO7: Analyze epidemiological methods and the use of qualitative and quantitative statistical methods in relation to current public health trends. (POs 2 and 3)

Requirements

The repeated measures ANOVA assignment will be graded on accurately completing this test using a specified data source. In addition to this, students are expected to analysis the results of the data, correctly report this information, and speak of the significance of their findings in terms of public health. The quality of self-assessment, use of citations, use of Standard English grammar, sentence structure, and overall organization based on the required components as summarized in the directions and grading criteria/rubric will be evaluated.

Preparing the Assignment

Repeated measures ANOVA allows us to look at the change in a population over time. You will complete repeated measures ANOVAs to see how cholesterol changes over time in two populations.

You will use the various time points where cholesterol levels were taken to analyze if there are changes in the population from time point to time point and if this may be due to random chance or the use of margarine.
