This week, you will prepare a video presentation with a PowerPoint file. You will create your video presentation by using a video capturing tool located in NCUOne. Cultural proficiency is a vital skill for any field of social work practice including the ability to be able to know the principles of logic, scientific inquiry, and culturally informed and ethical approaches to building knowledge. For this assignment, develop a PowerPoint presentation on cultural proficiency and substance abuse for a group of parole officers understanding that social workers recognize how their personal experiences and affective reactions may affect their assessment and decision-making.. Specifically, deliver a presentation that focuses on the cultural contexts and practices that should be considered for the following groups: African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, Native Americans, athletes, health care professionals, and members of the LGBTQ community. This content should include the historical, social, cultural, economic, organizational, environmental, and global influences that affect social policy and practice. Be sure to include an evaluation of social developmental determinants for your audience to recognize.

Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists and should cite material appropriately.
