PSYCH324 Week 2 - Child/Adolescent Psych

Summer A 2024 PSYCH.324.WC2 Child/Adolescent Psych.

Students will create a timeline of the 10-20 most significant events in their life from ages 0-18. You decide which 10-20 events are most significant. Why 10-20? Some of you may have accumulated so many experiences and may need all 20, for some of you, 10 will suffice. It's up to you. Just make sure it is not less than 10 and no more than 20.

You may create the timeline the manual way with paper/poster board, props, photos, stickers, scissors and glue letting the textures and visuals inspire you. You can also use a software like Microsoft Word. It’s up to you. 

After completing the timeline, you will reflect on the questions in a 3-4 page APA formatted paper. 

• What was the process of completing the timeline like for you?
• What personal strengths did this process reveal to you? What surprising accomplishments appeared?
• How did charting the past make you ponder the future?
• What would it be like to complete this activity with a child or teen in therapy?  How might you adapt it? 
• Take a photo or screenshot of your timeline and add it as a separate attachment or drop it on the last page of your written submission
