SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH, HEALTH EQUITY, AND HEALTH LITERACY.

How does low health literacy impact health outcomes? What populations are more likely to be impacted by health equity and have low health literacy levels? Low health literacy is associated with more hospitalizations, more visits to emergency rooms, and less use of preventative care. Low health literacy is related to poorer health behaviors and disease management. This Discussion will be available from Day 1 of Week 2 through Day 7 of Week 2. You are encouraged to post early. Once you have submitted your initial post, start responding with your colleagues.
